I don’t understand why the school and the cops aren’t all over this. Here in Winnipeg the axe would have fallen a long time ago on those thugs. Maybe it’s a small town/big city thing. In a city, the schools and the police know that things escalate to bloody violence very quickly and then they get roasted in the press and other public forums for not taking action. Small towns either don’t believe that it’s going to happen or, if it does, know that they can close ranks, cover up, make it never have happened.

Some people need to stop and take a look at what is involved in bullying these days. It’s not like it was, at least, I don’t think so. Telling a kid she’d be better off if she committed suicide… frankly, the death threats and that too, should have been enough for the RCMP to be involved.

I was bullied as a kid, too. I was the kid the other kids shut into the lockers in middle school. I was the kid the grandmother never picked up after Monday’s After School in high school and sometimes had to walk home; other kids gave me hell over that.

People like to say that kids are incapable of being so malicious. Have they never heard of Columbine? Are their heads buried up their asses? Do they not remember being a kid?
