Potato Soup<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Ingredients:<\/em> Directions:<\/em> Drain about three to four cups of water, then mash the potatoes still in the stock. Return the meat to the pot, and bring to a boil. Slowly add the buttermilk while stirring constantly. \n1 package \u201cFarmer\u2019s\u201d Sausage, approx. 2 lbs (ham works as well)
\n4 quarts water
\n2 quarts buttermilk
\n4 cups diced potatoes
\n2 cups diced onion
\n2 tbsp dill weed
\nsalt & pepper to taste<\/p>\n
\nCut sausage into four equal pieces. In a large soup pot, bring water, dill and sausage to a boil. Add potatoes, onions, salt and pepper to taste. When the potatoes have cooked, remove the sausage, reserving one piece for the soup; use the rest for Sausage & Roots Bake below. Slice the piece for the soup in half lengthwise, then in small slices. <\/p>\n
