My Own Serenity
Posted by Morrighan on February 19, 2011 at 4:19 pm | Last modified: February 19, 2011 4:19 pmI know there are versions of the serenity prayer out there, both for pagans and non-pagans. I never felt an affinity with any of them, moreso with the better known one christians use.
At a time in my life where I’m facing multiple stresses, financial issues and something I am unable to discuss at the moment, I needed something to recharge and perhaps mend the little tears in my spirit. Something I could repeat as needed, and while the rede and the charges are wonderful, as is the goddess chant, I needed something more personal… I think I’ll even pull out the prayer beads and try doing this via meditation every day.

Goddess grant me:
The Strength of Earth, so I may walk my path without fear,
The Breath of Air, so I may sing and dance in your presence,
The Light of Fire, so I may see through that which lies in shadow,
The Warmth of Water, so I may feel your love wrapped around me.
So mote it be.
Sprites Update
Posted by Morrighan on February 5, 2011 at 8:00 am | Last modified: February 5, 2011 8:00 amI’ve found some wonderful public domain images for coloring pages that are going to be included in the Sprites Pagan Kids stuff as soon as I have time to sort it all out.
Also, I’ve done five new word search puzzles, and there are word scrambles, crosswords and connect the dots coming soon, too!
The girls and I realized we’d not updated the Kids BOS since at least 2005. Definitely time for some fresh bits and bobs… we’re also hoping to get some of the recipes transferred to the BOS as well. Kids can help in the kitchen – mine have since they were waist-high and could barely see onto the counter.
Thing is, we’re omnivorous. If anyone out there has some fun, vegetarian or vegan recipes that kids can get involved in, please get in touch – you’ll be dually credited on your contribution!

Posted by Morrighan on February 3, 2011 at 1:45 pm | Last modified: February 19, 2011 4:22 pmThe girls and I have begun refocusing our efforts in keeping up with our spiritual studies, etc. I made a decision at Yule that I would begin study again, from scratch, from the beginning. Basically – I’ve put all three of us at the door of the labyrinth, and given us each a fresh start.
To that end, we did the bulk of our spring cleaning last week in preparation for a visit from the girls’ cousin and her family, as well as Imbolc. As a group, we so rarely remember to mark this time of year, partly because one of us has a birthday within a few days of the actual date of Imbolc, and partly because for us here in mid-Canada – it’s still winter. Deep, deep in winter. Our weather usually doesn’t break for another six weeks (closer to Ostara) and frankly we all seem to hibernate through this coldest time of year.
Still, the girls and I made an effort this year, having a traditional meal and lighting a candle for Brighid. (more…)
