Posted by Morrighan on June 21, 2013 at 7:15 pm | Last modified: June 21, 2013 7:00 pmConfused yet? I am… but I’m happy to say that we’ve finished tweaking and testing and fiddling with Lughnasadh, and it’s now available on Smashwords, Etsy and soon it’ll be up on Amazon for the Kindle. Probably within another week or so, it’ll start popping up through other retailers as well.

Lughnasadh, also known as Hlaf-mass (Loaf-mass), August Eve, Tailltean Games, Lammas, and Harvest Home, is named for the Celtic God of fire and sun, Lugh.It is the beginning of the end of summer, of the growing season, and marks the first harvest of grain, garden and orchard. It is one of the cross-quarter festivals, a Great Fire festival, where bonfires are lit to give strength to the aging sun.
Litha has arrived…
Posted by Morrighan on May 17, 2012 at 6:14 pm | Last modified: May 17, 2012 6:14 pm… well, the e-chapbook has, anyway. <|;^)
Also known as Midsummer, Summer Solstice and Alban Hefin, Litha generally falls in the third week of June, usually between the 17 and 23 of the month. It is the time of the longest day of the year – after this, each day becomes progressively shorter until Yule – the longest night of the year.
Traditionally, this is a great time to harvest wild or cultivated young herbs to stock your magickal pantry. Young plants have a great energy, and are far more likely to recover quickly from a small harvesting. One must request the permission of the Goddess and of the spirit of the plant itself. Gently take hold of the plant or branch, and politely ask if the spirit will share its bounty. You’ll know, trust me, if you receive permission.
Now available in all formats through Smashwords.

Posted by Morrighan on February 22, 2012 at 12:00 pm | Last modified: February 20, 2012 6:15 pmHi folks!
So, we’ve released three Sabbat handbooks officially, and Litha unofficially (although it’s official version is fast approaching!), and now we’d like to hear from the readers on what they’d like to see in future.
More activities? Less activities and more info? More crafts, less recipes or vice-versa?
Comment below; comments are held to moderate for spam and the occasional non-pagan unfriendly, so if you’d rather it not be public just mention that and I can keep it private.
Thanks!
